CUBAN COMBINATION LIVE ON STAGE

Marco Antonio and Livan Armenteros will teach you to dance Salsa in the beautiful style of the Cuban people with emphasis on body movement and relation to the rich Cuban rhythms.
As well as partner work and footwork they will be teaching their speciality 'La Rueda'! (Rueda de Casino also know ‘the Cuban Wheel’ is a fabulous social dance where couples dance together in a circle constantly interchanging partner via a variety of synchronized moves which are called out.). Come & learn to dance and party - Cuban style! Personal, structured, expert tuition washed down with a Mojito or Cuba Libre!

From the heartland of Cuban music to the UK, Cuban Combination was formed when some of London’s best Latin musicians got together and decided to launch a band combining some of the finest talent from the UK and Cuba. Mixing traditional skills and repertoire with bold musical innovation ‘Cuban Combination’ wants to get Britain dancing. Wherever you’re from their blend of soul, son, jazz, timba, rock and reggae will hook you in.
One of the most popular Cuban dancing music bands in the UK, their repertoire includes authentic and original compositions by Rene Alvarez Portuondo as well as some of the best known Cuban songs. These include some from Buena Vista Social Club, which have been carefully written and selected by prestigious musicians and beautifully improvised by the singers.

Born: Santiago de Cuba, Cuba
Rene graduated as a trombonist from the Conservatorio Esteban Salas Music School of Santiago de Cuba. From 2001 to 207 Rene was the lead trombonist in Sur Caribe, one of the most famous groups in Cuba over the past decade.
